DSM Field Trip – Just a preview...

The Youth Art Team spent a long and very full day in Des Moines today – returning to Waterloo/Cedar Falls with lots of stories! More of those to come... here's just a quick overview in photos.

This morning, the boys toured the Des Moines Art Center and enjoyed lunch outside. Here they are performing a little dance number for some of the other guests who were out enjoying the park:

While the boys toured the Des Moines Art Center, the girls toured Freedom for Youth Ministries. Freedom for Youth students led the tour. Here, one student shows the Youth Art Team girls around the welding shop:

After lunch, the boys and girls switched tours, then met up at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park downtown:

Then, the Youth Art Team set out in four groups with cameras to scour downtown Des Moines on a scavenger hunt. More on this to come, but here are each team's photos for the item that read, "Take a photo of at least two Youth Art Team members with someone you meet. Ask their first name...":
